TM ALL-STARS

texts written by OVC Kessel (if not stated otherwise):

"I've just been sitting on the couch thinking about the earlier days in TM, about some of the names I still remember and why I do. I tought, let's just make a topic about it and be nostalgic together! Here are some of my memories (mainly players who played in Europe tough)"

Who remembers 'Seppe Kins'? DMC/R and one of Belgians biggest star in the history of TM. Has hold the ASI record (for onfield players) for a very long time. Played for KSK Maldegem and ended his career in jorenski sv, both Belgian topteams. If I remember correctly he was pulled around S7!

Nico Dubois, also Belgian. A legendary Goalkeeper, played for NK Osijek and Aramis and many other topclubs. Held the ASI record for a very long time (passed by Tavolucci first?) and played a phenomenal game in his last season to give Belgium the World Cup.

Ian 'Bonecrusher' Leduc, a Canadian DC/L who was sold for 1,2 (?) billion and was the first player to cross that one billion barrier when he transferred to Bohrs 11, one of the early daytrading monsterteams!

'Lavango' Dalgaard, phenomenal playmaker and star of the gone German glory SV Lancre, also held the transferrecord for a long time (900mil)!

Noga 'Maestro' Ben-Dor (OMC F), probably the biggest star of them all. Played phenomenal games on both national and international level. Scored 5 goals in a Champions Cup final for FC Vaclav against the Swedish topteam Zemedriq (season 23). Transferred to FC Vaclav for the maximum amount of money back them (somewhat 2bil) and ended his carreer after bringing home a few titles to the Italian topteam.

Lavi 'Bobcat' Bachman, the other star of the Israelian golden 'ages' in TM, altough they didnt win any titles. He started out at beitar fimo, the big rival of Crimson Kings, but got transferred to the Belgian topteam jorenski sv to finally end up at Crimson Kings.

Anders 'Anaconda' Okking, an MC F (!) who played several games for the Danish national team and multiple times top goalscorer in the Danish Superligaen but he will mainly be remembered as the last player from season 1 to retire. He became Danish champion with Bohrs 11.

Enzo Scarraffia, an Italian DMR who played in the same period as the earlier mentioned Seppe Kins. Has been the 2nd best onflied player, based on ASI, for a very long time. He played his entire carreer in 2nd and 3rd division, if I remember correctly.

Danny Beech, one of the best OMC's the game has ever seen. Transferred to former Danish topteam FC Uistot at a very young age to be very succesfull in the Danish first division. Transferred to the Armenian topteam Aramis (?) to end up at KitKat Crescent Crusaders to win the fast rising English premier league team a few titles!

Wiktor Siwiak, Polish DC/L who played transferred tot Crimson Kings in his early days. At the Israelian monster team he won two (?) Champions Cups and few Israelian titles in the league and cup. After a few years he got transferred. I don't remember how many times but I do know he went to Aramis once and I also remember he each time got back to Crimson Kings, to retire at the Israelian club at the age of 34. Siwiak was the first to reach 99.9 routine!

Nef 'Blitz' Karsten was a German striker and the second to get sold for over a billion after earlier mentioned Ian Leduc. He was transferred to the well known Danish topteam Nielsen VVS BK. With is kinda low ASI (never reached 100k I guess?) his very high transfer fee was a bid of a shock, remember back in the days inflation was a lot less. Tough he ended up being a very good buy, the guy scored a lot of goals. But he will mainly be remembered because of his nickname which used to be 'blitzkrieg' but got changed after complaints of the German community.

Roy McGuire was a North-Irish goalie who played almost his entire carreer for the Danish multiple champion Slehms. He was part of the squad in each title I think and also won the UETA Champion Cup with Slehms. But, to me, he will be mainly remembered for giving an amazing goalkeeping performance in the S16 European Championship where he had a major part in the North-Irish run to the final where they lost against Lithuania.

Nea Salamina adds: "Roy McGuire was bought from me on NT Sale for 155,5m back in S10 when i firstly promoted to Div1. He had already good skills and after i bought him i discovered that he was just in the middle of his bloom. I sold him next season as his ASI increased too much and i couldn't afford his wages (i bought 3 other players to help me do better in Div1) to Spanish club R.Sociedad for 307,5m... Ohhhh nice memories :) "

Alfredo Pelàez was an OMC F who played his entire carreer for Iloilo YodePuga FC in the Philippines. He was one of the youngest players to ever reach 99.9 routine (around 32).

Real Tricolor FC says: Armando Pernambucano, a nice Brazilian GK who won almost everything playing at Sport Recife, one of our bigger (probably the biggest) team ever. Best Brazilian GK ever, made starting 11 on Brazilian NT and never came out of it. Had stars on every skills, many golden stars, reached 99 XP. Retired with 33 years, a great loss for Sport Recife AND Brazil. Was our GK when Brazil won American Cup on S24 :)

Amsterdam United F.C. says: I believe the Dutch goalie Arthur Plessis once held the SI record as well with something like 380k. He has at least been in the top5. Plessis was born at the Dutch club FC Newdad (formerly a big name in the Dutch Eredivisie, unfortunately he went inactive a couple of seasons ago) but was sold as a teenager to the legendary VV Kerkrade Centrum for something like 200M. There he turned into the best Dutch goalie so far and (one of) the best goalies in TM. He played seasons and seasons in Kerkrade, winning national and international cups. He played tons of NT matches as well and was the undoubted no.1 goalie until his mid thirties. At the age of 34, VVKC sold him for the stunning price of 370M to Kitkat Crescent Crusaders. Here, he played a season in the Premier League, winning Kitkat the title (I believe), and after that he was sold to an Italian club of which I have forgotten the name. Plessis had 99.9 routine by that time. The season after that Plessis turned 36 but he didn't announce his retirement yet. Unfortunately, his club was marked as inactive in that season, and as obviously nobody planned to bid 250M for an almost 37 year old goalie who would certainly retire after the next season, Plessis retired by getting fired by his employer. We've never had a GK close to his abilities since Plessis in Holland.

MasterLiverpoolFC says: Pi '囝囝' Qianfu: One of the very best OMCs in TM history He was at the ASI top 5 (outfield) if not top 1 at his peak with more than 280k Great statistics, being the Season MVP in most of the seasons throughout his career Start his career at Riverside FC, helping the club achieve a league championship End his career in ميلان abu7, Saudi Arabia, making the club a very successful RoW club

Kitkat Crescent Crusaders says: May not be someone many others know of, but one I'll always remember is Charlie Quashie. Hit 99.9 routine and with good leadership and professionalism he was a crucial first team player for me right up to the end of his career even when my side was full of 5* players and he had dropped to 4*, aged 37. Spent time at a number of top clubs before coming to England when he was about 30 I think, where he played for my side for a couple of seasons, then went to Levice Leviathams, before I bought him back again because he was so sorely missed. Not sure if he ever reached 200k so obviously not in the same vein as others mentioned here, but his performance level was always a source of controversy. He was almost sold aged 34 after being listed for around a 200 mil starting price and attracting a bid, only for people to moan about it, getting a perfectly legitimate transfer canceled. Will always be grateful to those moaners as it meant he continued as club captain for another 3 seasons. I remember around 50 clubs putting in bids for him when he already over 35 and so could not be sold, when the announcement was made by a MT that the effect of routine had been reduced, using him as an example.

Did I already mention Gust Loens? He is maybe my alltime favorite! A Belgian DC, who played around 60 games for our national team. He retired in the earlier seasons (16 or something), a true beast he was! 20 strenght, marking, tackling and heading. Just amazing for those days.

One Size Fitz Hall says: OML from Jamaïca who made the decisive goal in the World Cup final S14: Lucas Byfield is the name. gave me my finest hour on tm. not very well placed to give the full career history not being from Jamaica and having quit the role afterwards. But he was very young at the time, roughly 21 i believe. hed only just broken into the team during that campaign along with 2 other young playerts, Anthony Nelson, a DC that wasnt far short of being worth a mention himself on this topic, class player. also some DMC whose name i forget. Byfield went on to have another 10+ years in the Jamaican NT and only retired recently but did so during the 3-4 season period when i stopped playing this game. does anyone remember the monster GK who played for Jamaica just before we won the world cup? he reitred at the end of season 11 and was at the time one of the best GKs and easily Jamaicas best player of all time.

Silviu "Haiku" Pancu: Awesome guy! Had the most of his development in a very famous Belgian team, KRCH Harelbeke. His nickname has a cool story aswell. He was training on the Belgian fields when he met a cow and said 'hi cow' in Dutch (hey, koe). But since he couldn't really speak Dutch very good it was pronounced more like 'Haiku' and it became his nickname. At least, this is what the coach of KRC Harelbeke always said. (KRC Has a cool story for every nickname in his team). FC Zemedriq adds: Haiku was an amazing player that had his biggest success at my humble club. Especially season 21 when he helped my to this TM record: From the TM Recordbook: "FC Zemedriq from Sweden had a run of 53 competetive matches (league, domestic cup, international cup) whithout a loss in a row, in season 21." He won the UETA CC that season. I miss him.....
