F.C Perspolis A.C once got his goalkeeper injured and had no 2nd choice. The manager used his ML Mehdi Pourasadollah as GK and in a league match, the Spartans won 2-1 with the alternative goalkeeper.
Sometimes though, a goalkeeper is important. In the international match between Kazakhstan and Montenegro, the away side had only 9 players and no goalkeeper, the home side had two goalkeeper (one from Montenegro!?) and it didn't go well.
